Set the oven to 180° and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Heat two tablespoons of oil in a non-stick pan, add the crushed garlic and, after a minute, the tomato sauce, a pinch of sugar and two chopped basil leaves.
Season with salt, stir, cover the pan and simmer over low heat for 5-6 minutes.
Cook the aubergine burgers as indicated on the package, transfer them to the pan with the sauce, sprinkle with grated ricotta and serve.
If you want an even more original taste, use smoked salted ricotta.
