The new partnership between Kioene and Virtus Padova, which has been playing in the Serie B basketball championship since 2015, reaffirms the bond that has always existed between Tonazzo Group and sports. Virtus Padova was founded in 1945 and has always been fond of black and green, colours that still distinguish it today as they are the social colours of Padua. In the past, it played for many years in Serie B, and, thanks to the union with Vicenza, even played for two seasons in Serie A2. When this association ended, Virtus Padova found itself starting again in the minor leagues, but in May 2015 it managed to gain promotion to Serie B, which it had chased for 25 years. Virtus Padova is a sports club that can also count on an important youth academy with many teams playing in the eccellenza or élite championships, as well as a women’s team. The teams coming under the wing of Virtus Padova also includes a seniors sector, with the “Virtus Cave”, “Virtus Duomo”, “Sutriv” and “Irriducibili Sutriv” teams.
